For intermediaries/multiple forces

More kids, more power, thanks to you!

Let's work together to ensure every child can participate in sports and cultural activities, making new friends, developing skills, and gaining self-confidence. As an intermediary/Meerkracht, you arrange for the Youth Fund to pay for a year of soccer, guitar, hockey, hip-hop—or whatever they want.

You give a child so much more than just fitness or creativity, you give them more strength in everything!

➡️ Register here if you want to become More Power!

Are you a teacher, youth worker, debt counselor, social worker, or otherwise professionally involved in raising or caring for a child? Become an intermediary/Meerkracht!

You can help a family with an application if you:

  • You are professionally involved with the child and can monitor the child throughout the application period;
  • You know the child/family and are aware of the (financial) home situation.

Please note! Parents/guardians, sports clubs and cultural providers can no intermediary/More power become.

For sports and culture providers

What can you do as a sports or cultural club?

If there's not enough money at home, the Youth Fund pays the membership fee or tuition, as well as the necessary equipment. In the Netherlands, 1 in 11 children grows up in a family living on a minimum income. Due to the energy crisis and inflation, even more families are facing financial difficulties. Children who used to go to the club weekly are now on the sidelines. We can help!

Let members know that the Youth Fund is there

Let your club members know we're here if membership fees are a problem. The more people know about the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, the more children and young people can participate in sports or take music, dance, or theater lessons. Here are a few ways to raise awareness for the Youth Fund:

  • Mention the Youth Fund on your website.
  • Follow the Youth Fund on social media and repost our messages.
  • Include a message from the Youth Fund in your digital newsletter.
  • Hang Youth Fund posters or banners at the club.
  • Give a flyer or brochure to (potential) members.
  • Organize a campaign for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture.

Below in the Q&A you will find more information about the digital toolkit, promotional materials and the campaign page.
Do you have questions or would you like to use informational materials? Please contact us.

Would you like more information about starting your own fund or joining the Youth Fund?

Please contact us. We'd be happy to visit you!

The Netherlands is one of the richest countries in the world. Yet, hundreds of thousands of children and young people grow up in poverty (source: CBS, SCP and Nibud). This means there is no money at home for sports clubs and creative lessons.

To prevent division and equip children with skills that will benefit them later in life, it's crucial that the growing group of children and young people from low-income families can (continue to) participate. The Youth Fund for Sports & Culture uses a proven method to ensure that all children and young people can participate.

We collaborate with professional intermediaries from sectors such as education, neighborhood teams, debt counseling, youth care, and a large network of dedicated volunteers and community partners. This allows us to be present at the very core of society. This allows us to reach children who aren't immediately visible, such as families with debt and "invisible" families whose parents are, for example, self-employed or entrepreneurs.

Would you and your municipality like to join us? We'll work together to find the best way to make the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture accessible in every municipality. Read more about our working methods.
