Youth Fund Sports & Culture Groningen

Don't have any money? But your child wants to play sports? Or take dance lessons, music lessons, or something else? We'll pay for the club.! We also help if items such as sportswear or dancing shoes are needed.

For parents

Would you like us to pay for your child's club? You can do two things:

  1. Ask for help to submit a request. For example, to the teacher, someone from the neighborhood social team, or the neighborhood sports coach. Don't know anyone who can help you? Then check out here who you can contact in your municipality.
  2. Or go to kieseenclub.nl and fill out the form. We'll then connect you with someone local who will submit the application for you.

Do you have any questions? Then please contact come with us.

For Multi-Powered Persons

Become a Meerkracht (formerly intermediary) for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. Give more kids, more power!

Let the kids participate!

You've probably encountered them in your work: children who can't participate in soccer, music lessons, gymnastics, street dance, judo, or theater classes because their parents can't afford the fees. We're there for parents with long-term low incomes, but also for freelancers with too few assignments, or families facing financial difficulties for other reasons. You know better than anyone how crucial it is for children to be able to participate. They make new friends, develop skills, gain confidence, and have fun.

Are you the connecting link?

Are you a teacher, youth worker, debt counselor, social worker, or otherwise professionally involved in the upbringing, education, or care of a child? Become a Meerkracht (More Power)! As a Meerkracht (More Power), you'll be the link that ensures all children have the same opportunities by quickly and easily submitting an online application. Whether children want to play soccer, violin, hockey, or hip-hop, it doesn't matter. After the application is approved, the membership fee or tuition will be transferred directly to the club or cultural institution.

NB! Parents/guardians, sports clubs and cultural providers cannot become Meerkracht.

Submit a request!

You can submit an application if you:

  • You are professionally involved with the child and can monitor the child throughout the application period;
  • You know the child/family and are aware of the (financial) home situation.

For sports and culture providers

Let members know that we are there if membership fees/tuition are a problem

What can you do as a sports or cultural club?

  • Mention the Youth Fund on your website (e.g., in the contributions/rates section)
  • Volg het Jeugdfonds op social media en repost onze berichten
  • Include a message from the Youth Fund in your newsletter
  • Hang up posters or a (free) banner at the club
  • Give a flyer to (potential) members
  • Organize a campaign for the Youth Fund

The more people know about the Youth Sports & Culture Fund, the more children and young people can participate in sports or music, dance, or theater classes. Download our Provider Toolkit and let parents and visitors know we can help!
