Applied Psychology students in action
Thanks to the social action of students, we were recently able to receive a fantastic amount of over €3,000.
Second-year students in the Applied Psychology program at Hanze University of Applied Sciences organized a social action. In three weeks, they tried to raise as much money as possible for three charities: the Groningen Food Bank, the Urgent Needs Foundation, and the Groningen Youth Fund for Sports and Culture. After pitches from all the charities, fun and engaging activities were devised. These included speed dating, a clothing market, nail polish, cookie baking, sponsored walks and skates, and even a full-blown rave. The (provisional) proceeds were announced during the closing ceremony. The enormous amount raised, over €9,000, will be divided among the three funds. This will allow us to enable at least 10 children to participate in sports or cultural activities for a year.
