Youth Fund Sports & Culture now also active for Nuenen children

Many young people in Brabant are currently experiencing difficulties with their parents making ends meet. The Youth Fund for Sports and Culture makes it possible for these children and young people to join a sports club or take arts and culture classes. The Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Brabant is now also active in Nuenen.

The Brabant Youth Fund for Sports and Culture pays the membership fees or tuition for children and young people aged 0 to 18 from families with insufficient funds for sports, arts, and culture. An intermediary requests the contribution on behalf of the parents. In Nuenen, Stan Hendriks (Neighborhood Sports Coach) and Claudia Sweegers (Combination Officer) are the intermediaries. They can be reached via actiefnuenen@levgroep.nlWithin three weeks of the application, parents will hear whether the application has been approved and they can register their child(ren). The membership fee or tuition goes directly to the club or the instructor. An annual fee applies per child.

Nice start

The Youth Fund was established in Nuenen at the initiative of, and thanks to financial contributions from, the Ronde Tafel Nuenen, the municipality of Nuenen, and the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur (Youth Fund for Sports & Culture). For example, the Ronde Tafel, a service organization that supports local youth through its activities, raised over €10,000 through champagne sales to launch the fund.

Alderman Sandor Löwik is pleased that the Brabant Youth Fund for Sports and Culture is now also active in Nuenen. "Thanks to the Youth Fund, all children and young people can participate in sports and cultural activities. And they acquire skills that will benefit them later in life."
