Youth Fund receives a nice check from the Art Weeks at the Mondriaan House

We received a wonderful donation of no less than €32,000 from our partner De Kunstweken. The check presentation took place at the Mondriaan House in Amersfoort, a perfect venue because Piet Mondriaan is one of the eight artists starring in this art project for children.

The Art Weeks has supported the Youth Fund for years. With a free Visual Arts project for primary schools, the Art Weeks transforms every child into a true artist. Students delve into the life and work of a famous artist and are then challenged to create their own artwork. This artwork will be displayed in a personal online museum, where family and friends can admire it and order a nice souvenir.

More children join a club

De Kunstweken donates a fixed portion of each order to the Youth Fund. This project contributes to the creative development of children both inside and outside of school. With this fantastic contribution of €32,000, we can pay for club memberships or dues for around 100 children. Paul van Roessel of De Kunstweken says: "The Youth Fund wants to give all children a chance to participate, and De Kunstweken is also committed to this."

About the Mondrian House

The Mondriaan House, once Piet Mondrian's birthplace and now a magnificent museum where visitors can learn about this world-famous artist, offered a warm welcome for this check presentation. Mondrian spent his childhood here and took his first steps in his artistic development. Just like the children who are now participating in De Kunstweken, discovering his art and being inspired to get creative too!
