Together for all children, because all children should be able to participate

Sports, music lessons, birthday parties; it's not always easy
Sam& website will help parents with lower incomes

Today, the Breda Youth Fund for Sports and Culture, Leergeld Breda, and the municipality of Breda launched the Sam& website: www.samenvoorallekinderen.nl. Through this website, parents with low incomes can directly apply for things like sports, cultural activities, and school supplies for their child(ren).

On Wednesday, February 3, Alderman Boaz Adank, together with Breda's children's culture mayor, submitted the first application.
Alderman for Poverty, Work, and Income, Boaz Adank: "Having the right school supplies, sports lessons, but also a fun outing every now and then. These seem like obvious things. But they certainly aren't always. For parents with a low income, these are things that are difficult to afford. These are difficult times; people have lost their jobs or are uncertain about maintaining their income. So it's understandable that they're making choices. It's important that children continue to participate and don't suffer as a result. Especially in these times, distraction in the form of sports or, for example, a children's party is very important. I'm happy that we are working with these wonderful organizations."

Together for all children: Sam&
Sam& is committed to reducing the number of children growing up in poverty and helping them participate in society again. In the Netherlands, 1 in 12 children grows up in poverty. That's an average of about 2 children per class. Sam& is a national initiative of the Youth Fund Sport & Culture Foundation, the Leergeld Foundation, the Jarige Job Foundation, and the National Child Support Fund. These organizations have joined forces.
struck to develop a website together.

All arrangements together

Sam& offers information about national programs designed for low-income families. Local information is also available. Enter your Breda postal code to view local programs. You can apply directly for reimbursement for school, sports, music, culture, leisure activities, birthdays, and other expenses.

BredaPas
Applying for a BredaPas is even easier. Parents with a BredaPas can apply directly through Sam& by entering their pass number. Parents are eligible for a BredaPas if they have a net monthly income of up to €1,893 (excluding holiday allowance) and assets of less than €12,590. Applications can be made via www.breda.nl/bredapas.
