Sporting activities generate thousands of euros

The Gelderland Youth Fund for Sports and Culture once again surprised the crowds with generous donations in the first quarter. The Harderwijk Half Marathon had a record number of entries, and since one euro per participant went to JFSC, this generated €1,759. St. Jansdal Hospital participated in the running event with a large group of employees and guests, donating an additional €1,200. And, as is tradition, Broekhuis Holding Harderwijk also made a donation of €1,500 on the occasion of the half marathon.

Ambassadors Richel Hogenkamp and Stefan Groothuis accepted a check at the Kruisberg TrailRun, a running event through the Kruisbergse woods near Doetinchem. The 300 participants raised a fantastic €11,000 for the Gelderland Youth Fund for Sport & Culture. Ambassador Stefan Groothuis: “We are thrilled with this enormous donation. It was a wonderful day, with so many enthusiastic and energetic people who put their athletic ambitions to work for our fund. Fantastic!”

CBS Het Startblok from Harderwijk has been busy with JFSC. They won the Song contest  and the sidewalk chalk contestand organized a sponsored walk, which raised €233.65. Thanks to the students' athletic efforts, all children can participate!
