Haaksbergen sponsored walk raises €2,500
At the end of last school year, Ms. Marja Ticheler retired from teaching. She had worked at Paus Joannes Primary School in Haaksbergen for the past 22 years. As a farewell gift, she wanted to organize a sports day for all the school's children, combined with a sponsored walk for the Haaksbergen Youth Sports Fund.
On September 17, 2018, Alderman for Sports Arja ten Thije and Niels Hartlief (policy officer for sports and culture) received a check for €2,500, representing the proceeds from the sponsored walk. This fantastic amount will allow at least 10 children to participate in sports for a year.
