Sligro Alkmaar supports the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture
Donation helps Alkmaar children with sports and culture
The Alkmaar Youth Fund for Sports and Culture has received a generous €10,000 from Sligro Alkmaar. This donation will help children join sports or cultural clubs.
Sports and culture for every child
"We believe it's important that every child in Alkmaar has the opportunity to play football, dance, participate in gymnastics, or take music lessons. Even if they don't have the financial means at home. With this wonderful donation from Sligro Alkmaar, we can help even more children through the Youth Fund," says Wim van der Ham, chairman of the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture Alkmaar.
The Youth Sports & Culture Fund pays the membership fees and, in some cases, supplies such as football kits or dance shoes for children and young people from low-income families. Applications can be submitted through an intermediary, such as a teacher, community sports coach, debt counselor, or neighborhood social team member.
Donation from Sligro Alkmaar
"To mark the reopening of the Sligro branch in Alkmaar on March 28th, we wanted to make a donation to a local charity. Because we believe it's important for everyone in Alkmaar to be able to participate, we chose the Youth Fund. With our contribution, we hope to help children who wouldn't otherwise be able to join a club. "That's why we're so supportive of the work of the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture," says Sander Koolwijk, branch director of Sligro Alkmaar.
