Swimming requests: please have parents/guardians register children at the pool
When applying for swimming lessons, parents/guardians must first register their child at the pool. In practice, this doesn't always happen, meaning it takes longer before a child can start swimming. We ask our intermediaries to remind parents/guardians of this. Steps to register a child for swimming through the Youth Fund:
- Let the parent/guardian decide which pool the child wants to swim in
- Have the parent contact the pool to ask how the child should be registered if the Youth Fund pays.
- The intermediary submits the application to the Youth Fund Sports & Culture Almere.
- The Youth Fund Sports & Culture Almere assesses the application and checks at the swimming pool whether the child is registered.
- As soon as the child is ready to begin swimming lessons, the Youth Fund will approve the application. Please note: this can take several months, as most swimming pools have a waiting list.
- The pool will contact parents/guardians regarding the start date and time. Lessons are paid for by the Youth Fund.
Copy of swimming diploma
For a repeat application, a copy of a swimming certificate is only required if a child will be participating in another sporting or cultural activity through the Youth Fund within a year (not for a B or C certificate application). Our back office will request a copy of a swimming certificate if it is not included with the repeat application.
Football requests for the 2024/2025 season
As an intermediary, you can already submit a (repeat) football application for the 2024/2025 season. Enter the start date of August 1, 2024, and the end date of July 31, 2025. We will then place this application on our waiting list, as we cannot approve applications until the end of July 2024. Please ensure that every current football application receives a repeat application if the child wishes to continue the activity and the parents' financial situation remains unchanged. Thank you in advance!
Victims of the childcare allowance scandal (KOTA)
Reminder for the intermediary: We need more information for an application from affected parents. When submitting an application, you must make a note if it concerns parents affected by the childcare allowance affair (for example, if the application concerns a KOTA victim). Of course, these parents must also our rules meet their income requirements. You can include this note in the "information" section of the application. This will give us more insight into which families need assistance from the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. Thank you in advance!
Launch of the culture club pass
From now on, intermediaries can apply for the new childcare allowance for a child Cultural club pass from De Nieuwe Bibliotheek. This pass is paid for by the Youth Fund. With the Culture Club Pass, a child can participate in all activities at all De Nieuwe Bibliotheek locations listed in the Children's agenda at ActivitiesPlease note: a child can receive one reimbursement per year from the Youth Fund. Therefore, a choice must be made between a sports, cultural, or swimming activity.
Rules of the Game 2024
On our website The latest version of the rules for the Almere Youth Sports & Culture Fund is always available. We have added an income table to the document, which will be effective from January 1, 2024. We ask that you be extra vigilant when assessing the income of your child's parents/guardians. This is to ensure that the right children receive our support.
NB: We also reimburse the fees of children whose parents have a current debt settlement with Verder (formerly PLAN Group) or Maatwerk OSS van de Schoor. Please clearly indicate in the application why the parents are entitled to an application!
You can download the voucher via www.allekinderendoenmee.nl
If you, as an intermediary, have requested a voucher for an application, you will receive it by email once the application is approved, so you can share it with the child's parents. You can retrieve the voucher if necessary via www.allekinderendoenmee.nlLog in with your account, open the relevant file under "My Applications." Click "Print." The voucher will open. You can then download it and forward it to the parents or guardians.
Warm transfer from group 8 to the first class
Attention Group 8 teachers and primary school principals: We ask that you note in your secondary school handover which children currently have an application with the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. This way, the secondary school teachers will know that a repeat application is due when the application expires. The new intermediary will then need to reassess whether the parents' financial situation meets our rules. The Youth Fund has noticed that some children's repeat applications are submitted late or not at all when they transition to secondary school, even though they are still participating in the activity. It would help us and the children if you noted this in your handover. Thank you in advance!
'Child still participating' button not visible in application system
If a child has been participating in a sports or cultural activity for a while, we automatically email the intermediary to confirm whether the child is still participating. Unfortunately, the "child still participating" button is not visible on older requests submitted using the repeat button. This is a bug in our system and is being addressed. The "participation" button is only visible on new requests. For requests where the "child still participating" button is not visible, we ask intermediaries to submit the status via the "create request" button. This way, we know whether the child is still actively participating in the activity and whether payment is required.
Reminder: Email invoices to feiten.almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl
Attention providers: We would like to ask all sports and cultural providers to email their invoices to invoices.almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl instead of to almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl. Thanks in advance!
Parental details on the invoice request
Attention providers: The invoice request we send you, once we approve an application, will also include the email address and phone number of the child's parent/guardian. This allows you to contact the parent if a child is unable to attend the club.
Youth Fund banner at Almeerse Hockey Club field
Since this month, a fantastic banner for the Youth Fund Sports & Culture Almere has been hanging at one of the Almere Hockey Club's hockey fields! We're thrilled and proud of it! We hope the QR code will be scanned frequently and that we'll reach children and young people who can't afford to pay their dues at home for hockey or other sports, swimming, or cultural activities. The Almere Hockey Club covered the cost of the banner to help raise awareness of our fund. Would you, as a sports or cultural club, also like a Youth Fund Sports & Culture banner or the fund's logo on your uniform? Please contact us. coordinator.almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl! (Note: the fund does not have the resources to finance this itself.)

Send an email to almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl to have your old email address converted. TIP is to 1 email address to request per organization instead of a personal email address.
