Isa Zwart gives songwriting workshop
Isa Zwart, ambassador for the Drenthe Youth Fund for Sports and Culture, gave a songwriting workshop to children at the asylum seekers' center in Emmen on July 10th, in collaboration with the Vrolijkheid Foundation. The Vrolijkheid Foundation organizes artistic and creative activities for, by, and with children, young people, and their parents in asylum seekers' centers throughout the Netherlands. We carry out a variety of projects in various arts disciplines.
A group of twelve children aged 9 to 12 gained experience writing a song under Isa's guidance. Isa shared her own experiences, including how, as a young girl, she used her own music notation because she couldn't read music yet. She emphasized that you can draw on your own experiences and feelings, but also from a task.
The children enthusiastically got to work and produced some beautiful texts. It was a wonderful experience for everyone.
