Young people get to know culture

On Saturday, July 20, Alderman Harriët Westerdijk will kick off the Cultuur@Cruyffcourts project. She will kick things off at 1:00 PM at Cruyff Court Purmerhoek. Young people can then participate in various workshops, including graffiti, music, freestyle football, dance, and beatboxing.

The activities will continue throughout the summer holidays on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Capelle youth aged 8 to 15 can rap, DJ, dance, and vlog at the Cruyff Court near Purmerhoek. Participation is free. The program is available on www.cultuurcruyffcourts.nl.

It Youth Fund Sports & Culture and the Johan Cruyff Foundation want to work on the project Culture@CruyffCourts Introducing children and young people to sports and culture close to home. Sportief Capelle oversees the activities offered by various cultural providers in Capelle.

Cruyff Courts are safe meeting places where children and young people can play sports and exercise. A place where they can connect and relax together. Cultural activities are also a perfect fit at the Cruyff Courts. Many parents and young people think that cultural activities are difficult and far-fetched. At the Cruyff Courts, you can see that rap, DJing, dancing, and vlogging are also cultural activities. This brings cultural activities closer to home. The goal is to get young people more interested so they continue with music or dance after the holidays. If there's no money for lessons at home, the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture can help.
