Playing football or making art; party at the Cruyff Court Kanaleneiland
After a successful Overvecht edition in 2020, it was party time this year at the Cruyff Court in Kanaleneiland. From July 13th to August 19th, children could participate in various sporting and creative activities at the Cruyff Court on Peltlaan and the Cruyff Court on Marco Pololaan. Whether playing football or making art, cooking or breakdancing, the Cruyff Courts offer children and young people the opportunity to discover what they love.
Diverse program
From July 13th to August 19th, weekly cultural activities were offered at the Cruyff Court Kanaleneiland for children and young people aged 6 to 15. Participation was free. The activities were organized in collaboration with BOKS, Brede School, Hart van Noord, and DOCK, featuring various cultural providers from the neighborhood and the city. From creating a collaborative artwork to a breakdance workshop or getting hands-on with VR glasses, there was something for everyone.
Winning and losing
The Cruyff Courts are a safe meeting place where children experience solidarity, make friends, discover their own talents, and learn to cope with winning and losing. The project is therefore valuable for the children's physical and mental development.
