On Tuesday, August 23, Jolanda Kamphuis, coordinator of the Utrecht Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, was allowed to voucher from the VUGS student association in Utrecht. During the 2022 academic year, the Donacie (a committee that raises money for a chosen charity) organized all sorts of fun activities to raise money for the Utrecht Youth Sports & Culture Fund. 

From bingo to desserts: in action for the Youth Fund

Vice-Chair and External Affairs Commissioner Silke: “This year, we organized several activities with the committee, the Donacie. These included bingo, a dinner, an auction, and a painting activity. We also sold desserts at all our association lectures. These proceeds also went to the Youth Fund. Thanks to the committee's efforts and the contributions of all other VUGS members to these activities, we ultimately raised a fantastic €1,263.41.”

"If there's one thing that's important for your well-being, it's being able to exercise enough or pursue a fun hobby. This isn't so obvious for everyone, and we believe everyone should have these opportunities," says Silke.

We thank everyone at VUGS for their creative contributions. Thanks to your efforts, we can now enable more children in the province of Utrecht to participate in sports or creative activities.
