The biggest street football game in the Netherlands has kicked off!

The Netherlands' largest street football tournament kicked off today in Katwijk

With over 300 enthusiastic football-playing boys and girls, we launched the largest street football tournament in the Netherlands on Sunday, October 22, 2023, together with the Cruyff Foundation, Krajicek Foundation, and FC STRAAT. Especially for the occasion, Hangaar 2 in Katwijk was transformed into an urban backdrop for the very first FC STREET PLAYOFFS.

From watchtime to playtime
Partly due to an average screen time of 3 to 6 hours per day, the lack of exercise among young people is greater than ever. To offer a solution to this problem, FC STREET a community was created with various FCs STREET programs to reach as many young people as possible online and get them moving. With this tournament, we encourage young people to step outside their online world and encourage them to visit a Cruyff Court or Krajicek Playground nearby to get active. In this way, the young people themselves contribute positively to their own well-being.

Street football throughout the Netherlands
Starting now, girls and boys in the U13 and U15 age groups can participate in the free street football tournament at Cruyff Courts and Krajicek Playgrounds across the country. Regardless of background and football experience: everyone is included! During the preliminary rounds, organized by local sports and youth organizations, the youngsters can qualify for the regional finals, known as the FC STREET PLAYOFFSIf they win, they will gain a place in the ultimate national street football competition: the FC STREET LEAGUE.
