Aftermovie Culture@CruyffCourts Tilburg-West

In Tilburg, at the Cruyff Court on Lavendelweg, also known as Willem II Veld West, children and young people could enjoy various cultural and sports activities for six afternoons for free. On Wednesdays and Fridays from September 27 to October 13, 2023, seven local providers offered nine different workshops. A total of approximately 700 people attended the six afternoons.

Cultuur@CruyffCourts Tilburg-West was a resounding success, not only thanks to the excellent program and high turnout, but also to the strengthening of partnerships. The Brabant Youth Fund for Sport & Culture used the event to forge new connections between youth work, the poverty network, education, and the cultural sector. This was largely due to Amine Mbarki of youth organization R-newt being chosen as the local producer for the organization. Mbarki: "Next year, I'll be working through R-newt to roll out the concept in Tilburg, with the goal of organizing an event in two neighborhoods each year."

During Cultuur@CruyffCourts, Leergeld Tilburg was able to establish new contacts with people from the target group and has already arranged structural cultural participation for a number of children.
