VC Majella's "Tag, you're it!" campaign a success!

In early 2021, volleyball club VC Majella from Utrecht organized the "Tikkie, jij bent 'm!" (Tick, You're It!) campaign. With "Tikkie, jij bent 'm!" (Tick, You're It!), you run from one volleyball member to another. Each time, a different member is tagged, and a volleyball is passed on. This volleyball then has to be passed on to another member within 48 hours. Each member who is tagged decides how much they contribute to the charity via a Tikkie. The proceeds went to several charities, one of which was the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur (Youth Fund for Sports & Culture). The campaign was a great success!

On Sunday, December 5, 2021, the check presentation took place during a volleyball practice in Utrecht. The check was presented by chairman Wijnand Vellekoop of VC Majella. A total of €720 was raised for the Youth Sports & Culture Fund. Part of the donation came from Tikkie jij bent 'm! (You are it!) This fantastic amount will allow us to bring joy to many children in the province of Utrecht. We are thrilled with this wonderful donation. We thank the members of VC Majella volleyball club for their participation!

Poverty is increasing

The Youth Sports & Culture Fund pays the membership fees for sports clubs and associations for children from families with limited financial resources. Especially with the impact of the coronavirus crisis, it has become even clearer that playing sports or taking music lessons is far from "normal" for everyone. The number of families growing up in poverty continues to rise.
