We can't ignore it. Singing is relaxing, healthy, and it brings joy to your life. Expressing yourself and forgetting everything for a while. We so desperately need that these days. Bianca Busscher says, "Do things that make your heart sing." Singing, making music, or dancing helps with development. She wants all children to have access to some form of cultural activity, even if there's no money at home. That's why she's an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture.

Music is my passion and my escape from everyday life, allowing me to enjoy beautiful melodies and my instrument! As a little girl, she was swept away by the music of Neil Diamond, The Platters, Gene Pitney… This was the music her parents listened to growing up. She still has a soft spot for music from the 1970s.

Everyone needs an example
Above my bed in my teenage bedroom hung a poster of Tina Turner. I still think she's the greatest artist I've ever seen. She wore high-heeled pumps, black nylons, and daring clothes. I tried to emulate her. She's a great singer and shows us how you practically burst with energy. Tina Turner comes from a long way; she hasn't had an easy past, and in the beginning, almost no one believed in her talent. Music has always helped her through everything, and she never let anything stop her from making music and singing. She's a very positive person. And look... she's now a successful legend! She inspires me to follow my heart despite adversity and not let anything stop you from achieving your goals. She's my role model.

Singing is an outlet
I want others to experience the same joy I have with singing. To leave the world behind for a moment and let the music carry you away! Singing is therapy for times when things aren't going well. Singing is also a passion and a way to communicate with others around the world (worldjam). With singing, everyone more or less speaks the same language. That's why I think it's important that all children can participate.

That's why I'm happy to be an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture. Even if there's no money at home, children should be able to take singing lessons. That's what I'm committed to!
