Successful Youth Fund Intermediaries Meeting inspires and informs!

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, intermediaries from all corners of South Holland gathered at the Kade40 cultural center in Vlaardingen for the Youth Fund Intermediaries Meeting. A vibrant afternoon full of inspiration, engaging performances, and valuable insights.

The Youth Fund kicks off

The meeting kicked off at 3:00 PM with a warm welcome from board member Lonneke Tax and an update on the current state of affairs from coordinator Stefan Hagebeek. This gave the more than 40 intermediaries in attendance an immediate sense of the impact of their work.

Various speakers and a spectacular performance

Stella de Swart, author of "Poverty Gets Free," shared her experiences, which impressed everyone present. Her story conveyed a powerful message of resilience and perseverance. Nine children from the children's choir Villa Voice then performed. This introduction to culture offered a refreshing change of pace.

After a short break, Laura Butselaar from the Sports & Exercise Knowledge Center took the stage. Her insights on the importance of children's participation in activities struck a chord and emphasized the value of the Youth Fund's mission.

Intermediaries speak out

To conclude, several intermediaries had the opportunity to share their experiences. Desiree Schakel of the ZO! Foundation, Sven Kamsteeg of ViB, and Sarwat Taha of Welzijn Capelle were among the speakers. This led to lively discussions and valuable exchanges about the various experiences the intermediaries gain in their work.

The meeting concluded with an informal reception at 5:00 PM, where participants had the opportunity to network and end the day together.

We are grateful for Kade40's hospitality and appreciate them opening their doors for our meeting. The Youth Fund looks back on a successful afternoon and thanks everyone present for their commitment and enthusiasm. Together, we will continue to work for the children who need our support.
