Facts & Figures 2022
In 2022, more families than ever before struggled to make ends meet. Due to inflation and rising energy and fuel prices, a larger group of families fell below the poverty line. We are therefore particularly pleased that we were able to support many of them through the Limburg Youth Sports Fund and the Limburg Youth Culture Fund.
Thanks to our financial support, we've enabled children to participate again, feel included, and enjoy sports and cultural activities. Thanks to the Limburg Youth Sports Fund and Limburg Youth Culture Fund, no fewer than 4,860 children have been able to practice sports and 871 children have been able to participate in cultural activities.
Many children have found their way back to the club after the pandemic, but we don't yet help all children growing up with financial difficulties. That's why we're trying to raise awareness through various projects and campaigns that we can offer these children this opportunity.
Last year, we worked towards a merger between the Limburg Youth Sports Fund and the Limburg Youth Culture Fund, effective January 1, 2023. The two funds already had extensive collaboration in a joint back office. To intensify their collaboration, with the aim of reaching and supporting more children and young people in Limburg in participating in sports and cultural activities, the foundations' boards have now also been merged.
You can help give children a future by enabling them to participate in sports and cultural activities. If you know a family or child who wants to play a sport or participate in a cultural activity, let them know about the Youth Fund.
In the coming years, we aim to reach and support even more children. We want to thank you for your commitment and dedication.
