Tour de Fean makes a wonderful contribution to the Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland

What a dedication this year during the second annual Tour de Fean on Sunday, September 8th: over 200 cyclists took to the saddle for young Heerenveen residents. Together they raised €3,000. This donation supports the Stichting Leergeld Foundation and Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland, which each received €1,500. These funds ensure that all children in the municipality of Heerenveen have the opportunity to participate in important activities such as sports, music lessons, school trips, and more.

Mayor Tjeerd van der Zwan is the patron of the Tour de Fean and cycled the 45 km route, along with Alderman Jaap van Veen and the SC Heerenveen women's football team. He then presented the checks to Coby van der Laan of the Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland (Frisian Youth Sports Fund) and Jeroen de Vries of the Leergeld Foundation.
The organizers, Lions Heerenveen eo and Tourclub Heerenveen, are pleased with the cyclists' enthusiasm and have announced that they hope to make the cycling event an annual tradition.

The Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland is very grateful to Lions Heerenveen eo and Tourclub for this wonderful contribution to getting even more children involved in sports!
