Can't your parents afford it? We'll help! Parents cannot apply for a contribution for lessons themselves. This requires an intermediary. Read below to learn how to arrange this:
This is how you request a contribution for the lessons
- The application for a contribution is made by an intermediary. This could be a teacher, neighborhood sports coach, debt counselor, Leergeld Foundation or employee of a social neighborhood team;
- The intermediary makes a request;
- You will hear within 3 weeks whether the application has been approved;
- After approval you can register for the art class you would like to attend;
- We pay the membership fee or tuition directly to the instructor. You don't receive any money yourself.
#TIP | Ask your parents to parent card Please fill this out. Bring it with you to your appointment with the intermediary. This will allow you to submit the application quickly. The form will ask if you use a City Pass. Please indicate here whether or not you have a U-Pass.
Parents can also submit an application themselves. This can be done online via the website of Sam&You can also submit a request for school supplies or a birthday box here.

"Choose Your Art Houten" is a series of short videos commissioned by the Utrecht Youth Fund for Sports & Culture and in collaboration with the Youth Pass for Sports & Culture Houten and the Shine Houten Foundation. The videos aim to inspire young people to pursue art, emphasizing that tuition shouldn't be a barrier.
