Don't let children suffer from the corona crisis and ensure they can continue to play sports and exercise.

Kun je als ouder de contributie van de club van je kind niet meer betalen omdat je door de coronacrisis in geldnood zit? Dan kun je rekenen op hulp van het Jeugdfonds Hengelo Borne. Wij roepen gedupeerde gezinnen op zich te melden. Als je aan de voorwaarden voldoet betalen we (tijdelijk) de contributie voor een sportvereniging of cultuurclub van je kind(eren).

In de maandag 18 mei j.l. gelanceerde campagne ‘Mag ik straks ook weer meedoen?’ wordt het belang onderstreept van samen sporten en meedoen aan culturele activiteiten. Via deze campagne wil het Jeugdfonds laten weten dat ze hulp bieden aan gezinnen die in financiële problemen zijn gekomen. Laten we er samen voor zorgen dat ieder kind kan meedoen met sport en cultuur.

Het geld wordt niet overgemaakt aan de ouders, maar direct betaald aan de vereniging waar het kind lid van is, zoals bijvoorbeeld een voetbal- of judoclub, muziek- of dansvereniging.

De Klassieke Muziekweek Presikhaaf is een initiatief van EL ELE Dans- en Muziekschool in Presikhaaf.
Met dit project wordt (licht) klassieke muziek een week lang onder de aandacht gebracht in de wijk Presikhaaf.

De muziekweek is van 8 tot 15 maart 2020. Gedurende deze week bestaat het programma uit workshops, masterclasses en concerten voor jong en oud.

“Wat het Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur doet is te gek, het steunen van kinderen om aan sport of cultuur te doen is superbelangrijk.” Enthousiast vertelt acteur Sanne den Hartogh, die tot zijn achttiende in Harderwijk woonde, hoe hij daar kennis maakte met theater. “Als je een talent hebt in de creatieve hoek is een plek nodig om dat talent te onderzoeken. Ik vind het verdrietig als kinderen geen duwtje krijgen om dat te doen.”

Circusacts met vriendjes

Velen kennen Sanne den Hartogh van tv-series als A’dam – E.V.A., De vloer op, Baantjer of diverse films. Vaker nog is de acteur te vinden in het theater. Hij studeerde in 2004 af aan de Toneelschool van Amsterdam en speelde bij verschillende gezelschappen. “Als klein jongetje zat ik bij een theaterclubje en ik herinner me dat ik op Koninginnedag circusacts opvoerde met mijn vriendjes. Later deed ik er als puber op de middelbare school juist alles aan om zo normaal mogelijk te zijn. Ik deed niet aan toneel, wilde vooral niet opvallen. Tot mijn ouders opmerkten ‘wat word je saai?’, en me voorstelden om weer iets met toneel te doen.”

Openbaring in Harderwijk

Zo ging hij op zijn veertiende weer het toneel op in cultuurcentrum Het Klooster, nu Cultuurkust Harderwijk. “Daar maakte Koos Hogeweg producties met jongeren. Koos was zelf een van de oprichters van Lunatics, een locatietheatergezelschap á la Dogtroep. Voor mij was het een openbaring om iemand met zijn creativiteit in Harderwijk te ontmoeten. Hij trok die hele wereld voor mij open. Ook was het fantastisch om met gelijkgestemden een voorstelling te maken. Mijn creativiteit werd aangezwengeld en ik leerde zo dat acteren iets voor mij was.”

Talent aanzetten

Hij vindt het belangrijk dat kinderen kennismaken met cultuur. “Als er van huis uit geen geld is voor culturele activiteiten dan zou het mooi zijn als kinderen op school in contact komen met cultuur. Daarom vind ik het zo goed dat het JFSC naast het financieel steunen van kinderen ook campagne voert om aan cultuur mee te doen. Aandacht voor talentontwikkeling is essentieel, of je nou een sporttalent bent of dat je aanleg hebt voor muziek of theater. Vooral in de jaren dat je opgroeit, zo voor je 18^and jaar, is het belangrijk om dat talent aan te zetten. Voor mij heeft theater mijn hele leven veranderd. Ik heb mijzelf leren kennen en me kunnen ontwikkelen. Ik ben er heel dankbaar voor dat ik dit heb kunnen doen en dat iemand mij daarin heeft gestimuleerd.”

Als hij moet kiezen uit film of theater, dan staat hij het liefst op het toneel. “Op het podium voel ik me vrij. Film is ook tof, alleen is dat vaak vooral gericht op zo echt mogelijk over komen. Ik vind toneel het spannendst, je kunt meer experimenteren. Vanuit mijn fantasie daag ik mijzelf en het publiek uit om verder te kijken dan naar wat ze al weten. Zo maakt theater je wereld groter.” Zijn voorkeur voor het vak was in zijn tienerjaren al te ontdekken, ook al was hij zelf nog niet zo overtuigd. “Ik houd ook van sport en zat op volleybal. Net als de toneelrepetities waren onze competitiewedstijden op vrijdagavond, dus had ik een probleem. Hoe fanatiek ons team ook was, toch koos ik meestal voor toneel. Daardoor kreeg ik van mijn teamleden de bijnaam ‘Shakespeare’, haha!”

It Jeugdfonds Sport en Cultuur Aalsmeer heeft meegedaan aan Rabo ClubSupport, iedereen die een bankrekening heeft bij de Rabobank kon als lid een stem uitbrengen tussen 27 september en 11 oktober 2019. Help onze kinderen, waarvoor de financiële middelen er niet zijn, in de leeftijd van 4 tot 18 jaar mee te laten doen aan sport en culturele activiteiten.

Er is in totaal een bedrag van € 329,63 opgehaald voor het Jeugdfonds Cultuur en € 477,96 voor Jeugdfonds Sport.

How cool: your Heroes Comic Drawing featured in an exhibition at Haarlem City Hall during the Haarlem Comics Days, and in a real comic book, which will also be available in a bookstore!

We can make this dream come true for 50 young people aged 10 to 17. Together with our Cultural Ambassador, renowned Haarlem illustrator Eric Coolen, we're organizing a Heroes Comics drawing contest for young people aged 10 to 17 from Haarlem and Zandvoort. Various primary and secondary schools in Haarlem and Zandvoort will have their best comic artists submit entries. You can also register directly via the JFSC Comic Drawing Competition Registration Form.

The assignment is: draw a comic strip of your own making with at least 1 and a maximum of 10 pictures your superhero. This could be someone you admire personally or a sports or cultural hero. for example Your grandfather, your girlfriend, a vlogger, Max Verstappen, or Lil Kleine in a comic strip, all dressed up in their own superhero costume. You can complete the assignment alone or ask a few friends for help. Attention will be paid to drawing quality, as well as story, humor, and creativity. Send your comic strip on A4 paper, along with another copy of your entry form, by mail to Nieuwe Gracht Producties. Submissions are open now, but no later than 30 maart 2020. Eric Coolen en andere illustratoren kiezen met het Jeugdfonds de 50 strips die worden opgenomen in het Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur stripboek en rond de stripdagen in juni 2020 in Haarlem worden tentoongesteld, zodat jouw vrienden, klasgenoten, familie, buren en iedereen die dat leuk vindt de strips kunnen bekijken. Tijdens de voorbereidingen van het evenement kwam een interessant gesprek op gang over hoe populaire thema’s uit de entertainmentwereld in strips verwerkt kunnen worden, waaronder een recent onderzoek naar mejores casinos en hun rol in digitale cultuur. Deze discussie inspireerde sommige illustratoren om elementen van deze wereld, zoals spanning en strategisch denken, in hun ontwerpen te verwerken. Tijdens de officiële opening van de expositie worden de 3 wedstrijdwinnaars bekend gemaakt. Zij krijgen het stripboek als eerste uitgereikt met hierin hun vermelding als winnaar. Alle deelnemers met hun strip in het boek, krijgen een door Eric Coolen gesigneerd exemplaar.

De boeken die uit een oplage van 500-1000 overblijven, worden verkocht bij een boekwinkel. De opbrengst is voor het Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur dat hiermee voor nog meer kinderen uit minima gezinnen lessen zoals tekenen, muziekles, dansen, theater, etc. kan betalen.

Wist je dat in het stripboek ook lokale en regionale helden als Ahmed Salem en Calvin Stengs vertellen wie hun held is?

September 27, 2019 was the Kick-Off of Cultuur@CruyffCourts at SO Lichtenbeek!

After a short interview with, among others, Alderman for Sports Jan van Dellen and Alderman for Culture Hans de Vroome, we were treated to a show by none other than Nasser El Jackson! Children from SO Lichtenbeek then enjoyed theater workshops with Marije Tangelder, drumming with Tudor Studio, circus with Circus Stoffel, and dance with Dans je Fit!

The children and visitors enjoyed this beautiful morning!

In the coming weeks, the children in Unit 8 and Unit 10 will have a theater, music, circus, or dance workshop every Friday. During school breaks, all children in SO Lichtenbeek can participate in a short dance or music workshop. The festive culmination of this project will be on November 1st.

Dancing for everyone!

"Music is so important for children. They respond to it acutely."

Making music, singing, or dancing helps children's development, says musical star Brigitte Heitzer (whose work includes Evita). She wants all children to have access to music, even if there's no money at home. That's why she's an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture.

"Music is my life, my outlet. It makes me so happy and I'm so glad I've been able to make it my profession," says Brigitte. "Music is so important for children. Children respond to it acutely, even babies in the womb. If you're not feeling well, music can help. When children make music or dance, it helps their development enormously. It's such a shame that music lessons at school are no longer a given. As a result, children have to take music lessons outside of school, and that costs money. That's why I'm happy to be an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. Even if there's no money at home, children should be able to take music lessons. That's what I'm committed to!"

On Wednesday, June 26th, the Arnhem Youth Culture Fund received a check for €5,000 from the Rabobank Arnhem and surrounding area incentive fund! This fantastic contribution will directly benefit the children in our target group and projects that encourage their active cultural participation, such as the Youth Culture Award.

At the award ceremony in the village church in Schaarsbergen, several initiatives from the region received a contribution from the Rabobank Incentive Fund. The projects were briefly explained, and we enjoyed snacks and drinks, and everyone had the opportunity to get to know each other and share ideas.

Congratulations to everyone and good luck with organizing the project!

The festive Haarlem kickoff of the Cultuur@CruyffCourts program took place on May 20th, from 3:30-5:30 PM. The Youth Fund for Sport & Culture and the Johan Cruyff Foundation are joining forces to give young people aged 8 to 15 access to sports and culture close to home: at the Cruyff Courts. The national kickoff of Cultuur@CruyffCourts took place on April 16th in The Hague in the presence of Ingrid van Engelshoven, Minister of Education, Culture and Science. Culture@CruyffCourts in Haarlem

At the Cruyff Court in Haarlem East at Leonard Springerlaan, children and young people can participate in a series of sports from 5 to 8 years old, in addition to the existing sports offer, from May 20 free culture lessons Choose from (break)dance, djembe, freestyle football and basketball, rap, graffiti, or photography. Cruyff Courts are safe, familiar meeting places in the neighborhood where children and young people can play sports. Many parents and children find culture abstract and far-fetched. Offering cultural activities at the Cruyff Courts in a series of lessons makes it tangible and accessible. If you enjoy the lessons, continuing is easy. Lessons at the Cruyff Courts are already being taught by cultural providers and community sports coaches in the area. If you can't afford follow-up lessons at home, the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture will contribute. Read the information here.

The Haarlem kick-off on May 20th was organized by Triple Threat and opened by Alderman for Culture Marie-Therese Meijs. This was followed by a dazzling breakdance show by Damn Fresh Crew and a Freestyle Football show by Panna Knock Out's Nasser El Jackson, two-time world champion in Ground Moves. The first Freestyle Football and Basketball lessons immediately began, and young people were given a preview of various other lessons. They participated immediately! This week (May 20th), the first lessons will start at:
