Dankzij een bijdrage van de Rozendaalse Golfclub krijgen kinderen op het AZC Arnhem Elderhoeve muziekles. De muzieklessen zijn een onderdeel van een project van Rhedelijk Cultureel en Mr. Weazly. Hierbij wordt muziek uit verschillende culturen gemaakt. De kinderen krijgen om de week een algemene muziekles en maken daarna muziek. Dit doen ze samen met muzikanten met verschillende culturele achtergronden. Deze mix zorgt voor heerlijke mooie nieuwe klanken!

Nadat de kinderen hebben ervaren hoe het is om samen muziek te maken, kunnen ze de muziekles blijven volgen doordat het AZC per kind een aanvraag bij ons doet.

Via de samenwerking ‘Pak Aan!’ tussen het Leerorkest en ons fonds krijgen kinderen gratis een muziekinstrument te leen via het Instrumentendepot van het Leerorkest. Het Instrumentendepot stelt jaarlijks duizenden muziekinstrumenten beschikbaar aan schoolorkesten en kinderen of jongeren uit gezinnen met een krappe beurs. Bijna alle instrumenten zijn te leen: viool, gitaar, drums, dwarsfluit, harp, cello, trompet – te veel om op te noemen. Hoe werkt het Instrumentendepot eigenlijk? Instrumentenbeheerder Cor van Holk vertelt.

Het Instrumentendepot stelt ieder jaar honderden instrumenten beschikbaar aan Leerorkesten, muziekeducatieprogramma’s en kinderen die via het Jeugdfonds muzieklessen volgen. “Veel instrumenten worden gedoneerd en een klein deel schaffen we zelf aan,” zegt Cor van Holk. “Mensen die een gitaar of een viool hebben en er niets meer mee doen, kunnen die aan ons doneren. Wij repareren die instrumenten in onze werkplaats. In coronatijd kregen we veel instrumenten. Veel mensen gingen hun huis opruimen en kwamen een instrument tegen dat ze niet meer gebruiken, vooral veel violen en dwarsfluiten.” Cor lacht: “Een positief effect van corona kun je wel zeggen.”  

Donaties

Soms worden de instrumenten nieuw gekocht. Een prima studieviool uit China kost 80 euro. Ook komen er instrumenten uit erfenissen, soms zijn het heel dierbare instrumenten en denken mensen er jaren over na voordat ze deze weggeven. Een instrument heeft vaak een grote emotionele waarde. Er zijn zelfs mensen die instrumenten kopen om aan het Instrumentendepot te geven. De bekende Nederlandse cabaretier Mike Boddé schonk zijn oude gitaren en ook cabaretier Jeroen Wu doneerde zijn gitaren. Het instrumentendepot heeft een de kinderviool in beheer van de beroemde dirigent Jaap van Zweden. En Koningin Máxima schonk de Amalia-viool! 

Paardenhaar

Op het Instrumentendepot werken vrijwilligers, die de instrumenten ‘speelklaar’ maken. Ze worden opgeleid om te leren hoe ze instrumenten kunnen repareren en verzorgen. Hoe je een nieuwe snaar op een viool zet bijvoorbeeld. Soms moeten kleine beschadigingen gerepareerd worden of barstjes in het hout gevuld. Bij een viool hoort altijd een schoudersteun, strijkstok en hars voor de snaren. De haren van de strijkstok zijn paardenharen. De beste kwaliteit komt van paarden uit Mongolië, China, Siberië en Canada. Niet alle soorten paardenhaar zijn geschikt. 

“Toevallig kwam ik jullie op het spoor en ik wist gelijk ‘hier gaat mijn dwarsfluit naar toe’. Ik weet dat er 1 klepje is dat blijft hangen (af en toe) maar verder is ie volgens mij in goede staat. Met wat poetswerk krijgt ie z’n glans terug.”

Er zijn drie ateliers waar instrumenten worden gerepareerd en onderhouden. Maar liefst zo’n 300 á 400 instrumenten per maand. “In principe kunnen we alles repareren,” zegt Cor. “Vaak gaat het om kleine reparaties maar soms zijn we dagen met een instrument bezig. In het koperatelier worden trompetten speelklaar gemaakt, in het strijkatelier de strijkinstrumenten en in het blaasatelier de dwarsfluiten, trombones, saxofoons en dergelijke. Onze werkmeesters hebben veel ervaring met instrumenten en er zijn gespecialiseerde vrijwilligers die ons helpen. De mensen die hier werken bespelen meerdere instrumenten en kunnen dus ook goed de klank beoordelen.” 

Van atelier naar kind

Bij kinderen en jongeren die via het Jeugdfonds een muziekinstrument lenen, zijn vooral gitaren, keyboards en ook wel drumstellen populair. Maar soms wordt er ook een viool gevraagd, een harp, trompet of saxofoon. Als een instrument weer helemaal speelklaar is, kan het naar een kind. Het wordt meestal gewoon met de post opgestuurd. Soms komen de ouders een instrument ophalen of wordt het thuisgebracht als het op de route ligt van een van de medewerkers. Cor: “Ik streef ernaar een instrument binnen drie dagen bij een kind te krijgen. Alleen drumstellen kunnen we natuurlijk niet opsturen. Die moeten met de bus gebracht worden. Het is mooi dat dankzij de samenwerking tussen het Instrumentendepot en het Jeugdfonds kinderen de kans krijgen muziekles te volgen. Het is dankbaar werk.” 

Monique Maks, directeur Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur: “Een leven zonder muziek kan niemand zich voorstellen denk ik. Maar muziek kan ook bijdragen aan de persoonlijke ontwikkeling van kinderen. Kinderen leren luisteren, samen te werken en zich te concentreren. En het allerbelangrijkste: samen spelen en plezier hebben!”

That makes going to a club this year very attractive

The Youth Sports & Culture Fund wants all children to stay active, healthy, and happy. That's why we're paying this year for children and young people from families with a Haarlem or Zandvoort Pass (and sometimes without one). more tuition fees to join a sports and cultural club.

These were the promotion rules until October 24, 2022

• For sports and culture, we pay Haarlem Pass holders a maximum of €500 in tuition per application, including a voucher of up to €100 for clothing and materials.
• Children with a Zandvoort Pass can also take advantage of this promotion for the time being! After that, the following applies: normal amounts.
• You can apply for one sports and one cultural program for each of your children. For example, volleyball and dance memberships.

Ask the teacher at school, someone from the social neighborhood team or another organization from our intermediary list to apply for your child. They are Youth Fund intermediaries and will do this together with you on the computer. The information they need is stated in this Parent card.

Step 3:

Once approved by the Youth Fund, you can register your child at the club. The Youth Fund pays the tuition directly to the club or instructor. Don't forget to reapply every year.

Take advantage of this year's campaign and submit your applications. Or share this, because together we can give many more children opportunities!

De hiphopgroep Broederliefde komt uit Spangen. In 2016 bereikten ze met het album Hard work pays off 2 de eerste plaats in de Album Top 100 en bleven daar maar liefst veertien weken op één staan. Met hun albums We moeten door 2, Broeders and Medaille bereikten ze ook de eerste plaats.

Van voetbal naar muziek

Veel succes dus, maar daar is hard voor gewerkt door de vijf: Emms (Emerson Akachar), Jerr (Jerzy Rocha Livramento), Sjaf (Javiensley Dams), Edson (Edson Cesar) en Mella (Melvin Silberie). ,,We leerden elkaar kennen als voetbalvrienden”, vertellen Jerr en Emms. ,,Onze droom was om profvoetballer te worden. We speelden bij verschillende clubs, maar er was te veel afleiding om de focus te houden. De een kreeg een leuke vriendin, van de ander werd verwacht dat hij een financieel steentje bijdroeg in het gezin, dat soort dingen. Dat zorgde voor te veel druk. Gelukkig vonden we elkaar ook in de muziek, een belangrijke uitlaatklep voor ons. Daar zijn we verder mee gegaan.”

Wat geven jullie ouders en kinderen mee?

,,We zijn nu zelf vader. Van onze eigen jeugd hebben we veel geleerd, en daar hebben we wat aan in de opvoeding van onze kinderen. Onze ouders wilden een beter leven voor ons, maar waren te veel gericht op alleen de schoolvakken. Muziek maken was al gauw herrie, en daar kon je al helemaal niet van leven. Maar wij hebben bewezen dat je met je passie, in ons geval muziek, wel degelijk een boterham kunt verdienen. Daarom vinden we het prachtig dat daar nu wel oog voor is, en er zelfs fondsen zijn om het talent van jonge mensen te ontwikkelen.”

Dat is ook de oproep van Broederliefde aan ouders: ,,Luister naar je kind en geloof in je kind. Vraag wat hun dromen en passies zijn, ontdek hoeveel er tegenwoordig mogelijk is en geef je kind daarvoor de ruimte. Zeg niet te gauw nee, en geef ze vaker een compliment. En tegen kinderen zeggen we: volg je hart en je dromen. En durf daar met je ouders over te praten. Wij durfden dat vroeger niet, maar doe dat wel!”

Poundcake Studio’s

Het Jeugdfonds sprak met Emms en Jerr in de Poundcake Studio’s aan de Westzeedijk, een productiehuis met drie professionele studio’s. Het is ook een ontmoetingsplek waar talenten samen komen om te creëren. Door de indeling van het pand is het mogelijk om in elk hoekje creatief bezig te zijn. Of je nou op de daken van de studio’s aan het schrijven bent of met een gitaar op een lazyboy aan het componeren bent, alles is mogelijk.

Van Hiphop les tot trommelworkshop: van 28 april t/m 19 mei zijn er weer diverse toffe, gratis activiteiten voor jongeren op het Cruyff Court in Hilversum Noord. Tijdens de feestelijke opening op woensdag 28 april was locoburgemeester Karin Walters aanwezig om het startsein te geven. Ook baltovenaar en meervoudig wereldkampioen Panna Nasser el Jackson gaf een optreden.

We enthusiastically embarked on the Heroes Comics Competition, culminating in the Haarlem Comics Days. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, everything took a different turn. During the lockdown, while we were working on the comic book and preparing for the exhibition, we came across an interesting project related to 코리아카지노사이트 전문가 보증 사이트, a platform that emphasizes reliability and expertise in an often opaque industry. The parallel between carefully assessing participating artists and the quality assurance offered by such platforms inspired us to take a particularly critical look at the submissions. Now that COVID-19 restrictions have been tightened again, an exhibition is still impossible to plan, but we don't want to keep participants in suspense any longer and are publishing the comic book ahead of time. We will announce the Top 3 winners around December 1st.

New planning

Starting December 1st, the comic books signed by Eric Coolen will be delivered and sent to all participants (mostly through their schools). The three winners will receive their comic books personally, in compliance with COVID-19 regulations. We will do our best to ensure the comic book itself and the presentation to the winners are as well-deserved as possible!

As far as we're concerned, all participants who drew their hero are heroes themselves!

Our call was:
Fame! Your comic strip in an exhibition, a comic book, and a bookstore

We can make this dream come true for 50 young people. Together with our Cultural Ambassador, renowned Haarlem illustrator Eric Coolen, we're organizing a Heroes Comics drawing contest for young people aged 10-17 from Haarlem and Zandvoort. Several primary and secondary schools in Haarlem and Zandvoort will have their best comic artists submit entries. You can also submit your entry directly.

The assignment was

Draw a comic strip of your own making with at least 1 and a maximum of 10 pictures your Superhero. This could be someone you admire personally, or a sports or cultural hero. For example, draw your grandfather, your girlfriend, Max Verstappen, or Beyoncé in a comic book. Feel free to give them their own superhero cape. You can do this assignment alone or ask a few friends for help. Attention will be paid to drawing quality, as well as story, humor, and creativity.

Send your comic strip in A4 format together with the JFSC Comic Drawing Competition Registration Form by mail to Nieuwe Gracht Producties. Submissions are now open, but no later than October 25, 2020. Please read the first Instruction Heldenstrip horiz.

Eric Coolen and other illustrators, in collaboration with the Youth Fund, will select 50 comics to be included in the Youth Fund Sports & Culture comic book, which will be displayed in Haarlem City Hall so that your friends, classmates, family, neighbors, and anyone else who might be interested can see them. The three contest winners will be announced during the official opening of the exhibition. They will be the first to receive the comic book featuring their name as the winner. All participants will receive a comic book. Those featured will receive a copy signed by Eric Coolen.

Did you know that the comic book also features six local and regional heroes, such as Ahmed Salem and Calvin Stengs, who tell who their hero is?

After a successful first edition in 2019, we're bringing urban culture back to the Cruyff Court on July 20, 2020. Now that children are allowed outside again, many families aren't going on vacation, and it's important for children to be active outdoors, we're offering a four-week summer program. During the workshops, which combine sports and culture, one of the instructors proposed a creative challenge: an interactive quiz on various topics, including gute Wettanbieter für UFCThis was done to inform young people about sports betting, responsible gaming, and the growing popularity of MMA. What is Culture@CruyffCourts?
The Youth Fund for Sport & Culture and the Johan Cruyff Foundation are joining forces to give children and young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods access to sports and culture close to home: at the Cruyff Courts. In addition to the existing sports offerings, children will also have the opportunity to experience (urban) cultural activities. These are provided by local cultural providers to lower the threshold for regular follow-up lessons. Do parents have a Haarlem Pass, then the Youth Fund can help with the payment of these follow-up lessons.

The Haarlem summer edition is produced by Triple ThreaT and made possible by donations from the Haarlem Cultural Incentive Fund, the Reformed Orphanage, the JC Ruigrok Foundation, and the Union Haarlem Foundation.
