The municipality of Heemskerk joined the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture on Wednesday, June 14th, National Outdoor Play Day. The event kicked off at the "De Ark" playground by Alderman Aad Schoorl, followed by a festive program for children.

For the children, there was an activity field with games organized by Team Sportservice Kennemerland. The Cultural Center provided a djembe workshop, and the children could also have their faces painted.

In addition to the activities for the children, parents had the opportunity to submit an application directly to the Youth Sports & Culture Fund. Two intermediaries from the municipality of Heemskerk were present that afternoon to handle all applications.

The Youth Fund for Sports & Culture also collaborates with educational intermediaries, MEE & de Wering, debt counseling services, youth care, and a large network of social partners such as MET Heemskerk. This allows them to reach children who aren't directly identified by the municipality.

All in all, we can say that the Youth Fund Sports & Culture in Heemskerk has had a pleasant, positive, and productive start!

On June 14, 21, and 28, it's finally happening. Dozens of children can try out cultural and sports activities at the Cruyff Court in Schiemond, Rotterdam. There are many different activities, including freerunning, painting, dancing, and hockey. We organize these activities in close collaboration with local providers. This way, children and young people can easily get acquainted with a sport or activity. If they really enjoy it, they can apply to the Youth Fund to become a member of that club.

Workshops are for children and young people up to 18 years old. Participation is free, and there's no registration required. So come along and join in! Each event starts at 1:00 PM.
