At Malu Dance Company, they believe that every child should be able to participate – regardless of their financial situation at home. The dance school has been affiliated with the Youth Sports & Culture Fund for many years and sees firsthand the difference it can make. "For us, it's crucial that every child has the opportunity to develop their talent," the organization explains. "Dance is so much more than just movement. It provides fun, structure, social connection, and self-confidence. Every child deserves that."

A student who grew up to be a teacher

One of the best examples of what collaboration with the Youth Fund can mean is the story of one of their current teachers.
She started with us through the Youth Sports Fund, because she didn't have enough money at home to pay for lessons herself. Thanks to that support, she was able to dance for years, develop her talent, and above all, enjoy it. She has since become a talented dancer and teaches at our dance school herself.

According to Malu Dance Company, the story illustrates why it's so important for every child to participate: "You never know where it will lead. Sometimes you give a child not only the opportunity to dance, but also the chance to inspire others later on."

A call to other organizations

When asked what advice they would like to give to other organisations that are still hesitant to work with the Youth Fund, Malu Dance clearly:
