“NADIA (20) RUNS HER FIRST SEVEN HEUVELENLOOP FOR THE YOUTH FUND (WITH COLLEAGUES)”

During the Zevenheuvelenloop, many participants not only contribute to sports, but also to society. Nadia (20)She and her colleagues from the DK Horeca Group the hills of Nijmegen to raise money for the Youth Fund Sports & Culture The good part of this wonderful event is that children from families with less money can still participate in sports and culture.

Nadia introduces herself

"My name is Nadia, I'm 20 years old and I work in hospitality. I'm also studying Education. In my free time, I love dancing, skiing, and having fun with friends," she says enthusiastically. "The Zevenheuvelenloop is extra special for me because it's my first time running this distance!"

Why the Youth Fund?

As a future educator, I believe it's important that every child has access to sports and enjoys them. When I was younger, I wouldn't have missed dancing and gymnastics for the world – I met new children and had so much fun. I want everyone to have that, regardless of their home life.

In her work, she sees every day how valuable the Youth Fund is. "I've seen students who were able to participate in sports thanks to the Youth Fund. That's why I'm proud to run for this cause."

Training together, running together

Nadia isn't running alone: "Together with colleagues from the DK Horecagroep, we decided to do the Zevenheuvelenloop. It's so motivating! We're all training for the same goal, and that's infectious."

She's preparing with the well-known running app. "I use 'Running with Evy.' It helps me achieve my goal step by step," she says, along with her friend Fabienne.

With pride

Nadia smiles as she tells friends, family, and colleagues that she's going to run the Zevenheuvelenloop. "It feels good to not only take on a sporting challenge, but also to make a difference for children. I hope that together we can show how important sports and culture are for every child."
