Who is the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture Amsterdam for? 

We are often asked: who is eligible for compensation from the Youth Fund Sport & Culture Amsterdam?  
We help all children living in Amsterdam who enjoy participating in sports, cultural activities (music, drawing, dance), and diploma swimming, but who lack sufficient funds. Our fund checks the income of parents/guardians in two ways:

1. City Pass
   All children with a City Pass can submit an application to us. DThe income limit for a City Pass for children has been temporarily increased to 150% of the social minimum. A Apply for a City Pass can be done via the Municipality's website.
2. Motivation without a City Pass
   Families who don't (yet) have a Stadspas (City Pass) but have limited financial resources at home can also apply to our fund. This application requires the involvement of one of our 1,000 intermediaries (care providers) in Amsterdam. These care providers in the city include teachers, OCT staff, debt counselors, social workers, and others. Always check with your child's school to find out who the intermediary is for our fund. Together with this person, you can complete an application demonstrating your eligibility for reimbursement through our fund. For example, you might:                                                                                                               

• • less than 150% of the minimum wage (that is €41.950,– if you live with a partner and €37.750,- if you live alone) earn, or 
  • has to do with debt restructuring, or 
  • are newcomers or undocumented, or 
  • otherwise unable to pay your child's contributions.
