Waalwijk stands up forβ¦
On March 15th, Waalwijk stood up forβ¦ the Youth and Adult Funds for Sports & Culture Brabant. During the πΎπππππππ πππππ ππ ππππ event, organized by Go Waalwijk, 140 enthusiastic participants stood at the starting line for a walk or run. Together, the walkers and runners raised a nice sum of money. Supplemented with donations from Nh1816 Insurance, Van de Mierden, and Sportprofit, a whopping β¬4,200 was donated to the funds that together enable young and old in Waalwijk, Sprang-Capelle, and Waspik to participate in sports and culture.
Attention for charities in the municipality of Waalwijk
The municipality of Waalwijk was highly involved in the event. Mayor Sacha Ausems walked 10 km, and aldermen Timon Klerx and Sjors Slaats ran the 10 km.
"Waalwijk Stands Up For" is an initiative by Natalie van de Mierden of financial consultancy Van de Mierden and Sven Jansen of Sportprofit, a personal training center. It began with the idea of organizing a fun and sporty day together for a good cause. Natalie explains: "We wanted to create an event that would inspire people to actively participate while simultaneously raising money for an important cause. Our goal wasn't just to create a successful event but also to generate more awareness and enthusiasm each year."
