Vacancy: Financial Controller (intermediate) (24 hours)

The Dutch Youth Fund for Sport & Culture is looking for a Financial Controller with several years of experience (24 hours a week) to join the Finance & Operations team. The Youth Fund helps children and young people from families with limited financial resources play football, dance, kickboxing, and make music by paying their membership fees and tuition. Your challenge:
As a Financial Controller, you'll work in a team of professionals. You'll collaborate closely with your fellow Senior Controller, Senior Financial Controller, two Financial Administrators, and colleagues in the invoice team, who handle accounts payable. With this team, you'll manage the financial administration for the 24 provincial and municipal youth funds across the country, plus the national office. Your responsibilities will include:
- preparing periodic financial statements for municipal subsidy providers and business partners;
- control and connection of the financial administrations of the youth funds;
- compiling and organizing reports and carrying out analyses for the youth funds and the national office;
- preparation of the local annual accounts and the combined annual accounts;
- projects to improve administrative processes such as the introduction of Power BI for financial reporting and analysis; and
- advising on structural improvements to the finance team, local youth funds and the management team.
We ask:
- HBO+ work and thinking level in the financial/administrative direction;
- sound knowledge of Excel for creating various reports and analyses;
- good knowledge of accounting systems, with experience with AFAS being an advantage;
- experience with municipal subsidies and/or a subsidy register and/or knowledge of RJ650 is an advantage;
- experience with Power BI is a plus;
- you pay attention to quality, you can plan and organize well and you are honest, flexible and a team player;
- you see the necessity and importance of sports and culture for the development of children and young people.
