Vacancy: Board Member Communications

The Almere Youth Fund for Sports and Culture enables children and young people from low-income families to participate in football, music lessons, gymnastics, street dance, judo, swimming, or other sporting or creative activities. We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Board Member to help us increase our brand awareness and impact.

Do you want to contribute to raising the profile of the Almere Youth Fund, so that all children can participate in sports, swimming, and cultural activities? Do you have experience in communications or content creation? Then this board role is perfect for you!

Profile

• Experience or affinity with communication, media or content development
• Creative and connecting attitude
• Network and environmental awareness
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Available on average 2–4 hours per week (including monthly board meeting)

Tasks

• Drafting and monitoring the communications plan and annual planning (together with the coordinators)
• Support in creating newsletters, press releases and social content
• Advising on increasing brand awareness in and outside Almere
• Collaborate with fundraising board members on campaigns
• Maintaining external contacts and media partners

Our organization
Our organization exists thanks to subsidies, funds, and sponsorships. These funds allow us to offer children from Almere a chance to thrive. The board consists of passionate Almere volunteers who enjoy working together as a collegial committee. The board is responsible for the fund's operations. Implementation is the responsibility of the coordinators and back-office staff of the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture Almere.
