'Shirt of your Dreams competition' raises €10,000

On October 20, FC Groningen faced FC Utrecht in a match themed around dreams. The Groningen side wore the specially released "Shirt of Your Dreams," designed by 11-year-old Ruben. He won a design competition organized in collaboration with partner Scapino.

The fundraising activities surrounding this match have raised €10,000 for the Groningen Youth Sports & Culture Fund! The money was raised through, among other things, the sale of shirts designed by Ruben, a safely worn shirt, and a collection on match day itself. A nice round-up brings FC Groningen and Scapino's total to €10,000.

Director Petra Bosman is very happy with the donation: “We are very proud of our partnership with Scapino and FC Groningen and the fantastic final amount raised by the "Shirt of Your Dreams" competition. The entire amount will be donated to the Groningen Youth Sports & Culture Fund, so parents in need can be supported with a sports or cultural membership for their child. This way, together we ensure that all children and young people can participate in their favorite activities."
