Jubilee edition of Streetball Masters Heerenveen raises money for the Youth Sports Fund

More than sixty teams participated in the tenth annual Streetball Masters event in Heerenveen on Saturday, June 29th. The three-on-three basketball event took place in front of Sportstad Heerenveen. The Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland (Friesland Youth Sports Fund) is a proud partner of this fantastic sporting event.

The 3x3 tournament was opened in the presence of Alderman Jelle Zoetendal. It was another successful year, with beautiful weather, a great atmosphere, and excellent organization by the Dyna '75 basketball club in collaboration with the NBB.

The tournament, which once started in the center of Heerenveen, has grown into a major annual event that has moved to Sportstad Heerenveen.

Due to the growing popularity of 3x3 basketball, players from all over the Netherlands and beyond are drawn to the tournament. Players compete in various categories, from boys and girls under 13, wheelchair users, to men and women 23+ (elite).

At Streetball Masters in Heerenveen, participants can earn tickets for the national finals weekend this July in Amsterdam, where they will compete in various categories for the coveted title of "Dutch 3x3 Basketball Champion."

3x3 basketball is accessible to everyone. This is a fundamental principle of the long-term partnership with the Youth Sports Fund. Sports are for everyone, and it's wonderful how 3x3 basketball contributes to this. With support from the Youth Sports Fund, great prizes were awarded to the youngest players, including the winners of the shooting challenge and the dunk contest.

Sales of the anniversary booklets for this 10th edition raised a generous €250 for the Jeugdfonds Sport Friesland (Friesland Youth Sports Fund). This allows a child to participate in sports for a year through our fund.

The various finals were played to the highest standards in front of a large crowd. Once again, the tournament was a success.
