Swimming lessons have started again!

Swimming lessons for the A, B, or C diploma are once again available. If you don't have the money at home to pay for swimming lessons, we can help.

In our rules of the game Find more information about swimming lesson reimbursement. Below is a brief summary.

Swimming lessons for the A, B or C diploma
In addition to sports and cultural activities, the Breda Youth Sports & Culture Fund also offers reimbursement for swimming lessons. There are two options:

Option 1: For BredaPas holders: swimming at the Optisport swimming pools, Sonsbeeck swimming pool or Wisselaar swimming pool, with a discount of 90% on every lesson card for regular swimming lessons.

1. Go to the reception with the BredaPas Sonsbeeck swimming pool or swimming pool the Wisselaar
2. The application will be processed immediately by the swimming pool employee.

Therefore, a separate application is not required for this swimming lesson to the Breda Youth Sports & Culture Fund. In addition to this swimming lesson allowance, an application can also be submitted for another sport or cultural activity.

Option 2: swimming without a BredaPas and/or with another swimming provider.
Does the parent wish to use swimming lessons from a provider other than the swimming arrangement offered?
At Optisport you can.

1. Contact an intermediary. This is a professional working in education, social services, or healthcare.
2. The intermediary must submit the application for compensation for swimming lessons to the Breda Youth Fund for Sports and Culture.

The maximum reimbursement for swimming lessons through option 2 in 2021 is €500 per child, per year. If the cost of swimming lessons exceeds this amount, the parent must pay the costs themselves.
No other sports application can be submitted alongside this swimming lesson allowance. However, applications for cultural activities are.
Other providers include: Arendse Health Club, The 3 Birches,  Swimming pool Aquamarant, SGZ sports & wellness and Swimming Institute Breda. 

Swimming lessons details
Registration fees, diploma fees, cancellation fees, equipment, and any other costs are not reimbursed and must be paid by parents. Inquire at the pool about these costs.
