'Sneaky Snacking' Wins Song Contest for Children for Children

The popular program Kinderen voor Kinderen is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a song contest featuring Sanne Hans (Miss Montreal). Just like when it was founded in 1979, Dutch primary schools were given the opportunity to submit song themes for this anniversary. From over 100 submissions, Het Startblok primary school in Harderwijk emerged as the winner. The Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur (Youth Fund for Sports & Culture) is the charity behind Kinderen voor Kinderen.

Secretly snacking After a jury from Children for Children and our ambassador Sanne Hans After selecting three finalists for the song contest, Sanne visited these schools to collaborate with the children on their songs. The vast majority of votes went to "Stiekem snoepen" (Sneaky Candy). This hit will be featured on the CD "Reis mee!" (Travel Along!) by Kinderen voor Kinderen, which will be released in September. The entire class will also be invited to the big live concert by Kinderen voor Kinderen in October at Rotterdam Ahoy.
