New: request a birthday box now
Vanaf dit jaar kun je als Meerkracht, tegelijk met jouw sport- of cultuuraanvraag, óók een verjaardagsbox aanvragen bij Stichting Jarige Job. Hierin zit alles wat nodig is voor een echte verjaardag, thuis én op school.
The Youth Fund and the Jarige Job Foundation are closely linked through the Sam& partnership. The fact that birthday boxes can now also be requested through the Youth Fund is a wonderful new step.
Youth Fund colleague Régine: "This referral allows us to reach more children and support families even better, without requiring additional work from our "Meerkrachten" (More Forces). We launched the collaboration in 2024 in 10 municipalities across the Netherlands. Nearly 1,200 requests for birthday boxes were submitted through our "Meerkrachten" (More Forces). And 70% of these requests came from families who weren't yet registered with Stichting Jarige Job (The Jarige Job Foundation). This demonstrates that the collaboration is truly effective."
Tjitte from Jarige Job is also enthusiastic: “For us, the collaboration is an opportunity to give even more children a real birthday. We're seeing that the Youth Fund is reaching families outside our regular network. The great thing is that this allows us to address the so-called 'white spots'. These are areas in the Netherlands where the Jarige Job Foundation receives few registrations for birthday boxes. The Youth Fund's More Powers team has a large network and connects with families we wouldn't normally reach.”
