Increased income limit in Youth Fund rules
We'd like to inform you that the income limit in our rules has been slightly increased this year (see yellow shading in the screenshot). Also important: this is the only change in our rules. This change will likely mean that slightly more children will be eligible for reimbursement for a sports, swimming, or cultural activity through the Almere Youth Sports & Culture Fund.
Victims of the childcare allowance scandal (KOTA)
For an application from affected parents, we need more information. When submitting an application, you must make a note if it concerns parents affected by the childcare allowance affair (for example, if the application concerns a KOTA victim). Of course, these parents must also our rules meet their income requirements. Please include this in your application's motivation. This will help us better understand which families need assistance from the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. Thank you in advance!
Youth Fund transfer from group 8 to the first grade
Attention Group 8 teachers and staff members: We'd like to ask you to note in your secondary school handover (Digidoor) which children currently have an application with the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. This way, secondary school teachers will know that a repeat application is due when the application expires. The new Meerkracht (formerly intermediary) will then reassess whether the parents' financial situation meets our rules. The Youth Fund has noticed that some children's repeat applications are submitted late or not at all when they transition to secondary school, even though they are still participating in the activity. It would help us and the children if you noted this in your handover. Thank you in advance!
Sports equipment point
Do you have sports equipment like soccer balls, tennis rackets, skates, or sportswear that you no longer use? Bring them to the Sports Equipment Point at the Kardoes Community Center (Staatsliedenwijk, Tues and Thurs, 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM) or the Cobra Community Center (Tussen de Vaarten, Mon and Wed, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)! In partnership with Schoor, we'll give your belongings a second life. This way, others can enjoy your used sports equipment! Looking for something specific for a child or teenager? Call the Community Center to see if it's in stock (Kardoes: 036-5305209 or Cobra: 036-5231837)!

A child can go on a holiday week or camp through the Youth Fund
For each current application (sports, culture, or swimming), one holiday week/camp application may be submitted per year to the camp provider for the required amount, up to a maximum of €300. The camp provider must submit the invoice to feiten.almere@jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl, including the child's name, application number, and ledger 5200. Camp applications are therefore not processed through our portal. www.jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl.
Voucher
As a Meerkracht member, you can request a voucher when submitting a new application for items such as dancing shoes or football gear for a child, provided the maximum reimbursement hasn't been exceeded (€300 for sports, €500 for culture, or €850 for an A diploma, or €200 for a B or C diploma). You can select a store, such as Scapino or Sport 2000. After the application is approved, you'll receive the voucher, which you need to forward to the parents so they can take it to the store.
Reminder Culture Club Pass
With the Culture Club pass, a child can participate in all activities for a year at all locations of the New Library listed in the Children's agenda at Activities.
Are you also applying for a Cultural Club Pass for a child from the Youth Fund? Then make sure to select "De Nieuwe Bibliotheek Almere" as the provider name in the cultural application. Note: a child can receive one reimbursement from the Youth Fund per year. Therefore, you must choose between a sports, cultural, or swimming activity.
