Meppel City Kids Run 2019 was another great success
More than 200 participants took part in the Meppel City Kids Run this year!
This year, children were once again able to participate in this running event through a sponsored charity run. This year, we chose the Jeugdsportfonds (Youth Sports Fund) in Meppel. This fund makes it possible for all children to participate in sports. The main sponsor of the Kidsrun is the SNS bank. A beautiful course has been set out through the city center for children aged 3-12: 200 meters (suitable for 3-5 year olds), 1000 meters (5-8 year olds), and 2000 meters (suitable for 8-12 year olds).
Once again, the Meppel Actief sports team provided the warm-up, featuring dancing and various stretching exercises. The participants of the G-Run, 1 km, and 2 km races ran with great enthusiasm, and the Meppel City Kids Run was a resounding success.
The proceeds for the charity Jeugdfonds Sport en Cultuur Drenthe are fantastic, € 1885.07.
