Youth Fund South Holland Intermediary Meeting: An inspiring day at CORPUS

On November 19, 2024, the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture South Holland's intermediary meeting took place at the unique CORPUS Netherlands venue. Intermediaries from various fields, such as outpatient counselors, the form brigade, community sports coaches, and primary school teachers, gathered. The goal of this meeting was clear: to thank the intermediaries, inspire them, and share knowledge and experiences with each other.
Intermediaries from all over South Holland traveled to Oegstgeest. The afternoon began at 1:30 PM in the penthouse meeting room of the CORPUS Congress Centre. From this unique location, the intermediaries enjoyed a beautiful view of Oegstgeest and Katwijk, making for an inspiring start to the day.
The kick-off of the meeting
Margriet Gersie, chair of the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture South Holland, opened the day with a welcome speech. She expressed her appreciation for the intermediaries: "You are the most important link between families, clubs, and the Youth Fund. Thanks to you, we can help children participate in sports and culture. Without your commitment, this wouldn't be possible. Together, we make a huge difference in their lives."
Then Jannes Aalders, CEO of CORPUS Netherlands, took the floor. He warmly welcomed everyone and spoke about the unique educational experience at CORPUS, where visitors discover the human body. Aalders emphasized the importance of sports and culture for both physical and mental well-being: "That's precisely why the missions of CORPUS and the Youth Fund align so well."
Interactive sessions
The meeting offered valuable moments, new connections, and important insights. Interactive sessions were held in three different groups, with the intermediaries actively involved. They had the opportunity to share their ideas and experiences.
In one session, the intermediaries provided feedback by posting comments on post-its under various themes. The Youth Fund takes this input seriously and identifies areas for improvement.
In another session, the intermediaries got to know each other better. They discovered who their fellow intermediaries are, how they connect with the target group, and shared their positive and negative experiences. This session provided an opportunity to share stories.
The third session was a unique experience: a journey through the human body at CORPUS. The intermediaries had the opportunity to learn more about the body in an interactive way. This session was an interesting change from the others.
CORPUS Netherlands, the journey through the human body and a generous donation
Earlier this year, the Youth Fund connected with CORPUS during the Rijnland Route festival, marking the opening of the Corbulo Tunnel in Leiden and the surrounding area. Since then, a strong relationship has developed, with CORPUS supporting the Youth Fund with a multi-year donation. Organizing the intermediary meeting at CORPUS was a valuable step in this collaboration.
The Journey Through the Human Body at CORPUS offers visitors a unique experience. Visitors embark on a virtual journey through the body and learn about the functioning of organs, muscles, and the nervous system. It's an immersive experience that combines education and adventure and perfectly aligns with the theme of health and well-being.
Thank you intermediaries!
We'd like to sincerely thank everyone who attended for their time, energy, and ideas. Your involvement is essential to the work we do. Without you, many children wouldn't be able to participate in sports and cultural events. Your role makes a huge difference in these children's lives.
