Generous donation after campaign by Rotary Club Alkmaar Young Ambition and Rotaract Club Alkmaar
On May 11th, the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture Alkmaar received a donation of €6,000. The collaborative groups Rotary Alkmaar Young Ambition Club Alkmaar and Rotaract Club Alkmaar held a jointly organized "Running Dinner" over the winter. The approximately 80 participants in that event visited various restaurants in Alkmaar – Vito, Fnidsen, and Polonium – to enjoy a meal, starting and ending at Stadskaffee Laurens. At the end of the evening, a raffle and an auction with attractive items were held there. The net proceeds of the evening exceeded expectations, leaving a generous €6,000 to donate.
The symbolic check was presented on Monday, May 11th, at a meeting of the boards of both Rotary groups.
The Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Alkmaar thanks the participants and organizers who together made this wonderful event and the great donation possible.
