Former cyclist Henk Lubberding receives Alpe d'Huez cheque from Allinq

On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, former cyclist Henk Lubberding, a special guest, accepted a check from Allinq on behalf of the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. On September 17, 27 Allinq employees conquered the Alpe d'Huez, raising a fantastic €15,000 for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. This amount will enable at least 60 children to participate in sports for a year.

Henk Lubberding is an ambassador for the Gelderland Youth Fund for Sport & Culture. He also offered a word of thanks, explaining how he took up cycling seriously at age 11 and has always been able to participate in sports. He also explained what this has meant to him. He also wants all children to have the same opportunity.

This Allinq cycling event is an initiative of several colleagues and is called "Op naar de Top" (On to the Top). At the summit of the Alp, the proceeds for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture were announced.

Allinq's athletic colleagues received helpful tips on how to prepare for such a demanding sporting event, how to enjoy the bike ride, and how to get down the mountain safely. This might come in handy for next year's sporting challenge!

The Youth Fund for Sports & Culture has been supported by Allinq for a number of years through donations from Christmas packages and sporting events.
