FC Straat Play-Offs – a new season!

On the streets, children play football with friends and make new ones. Together is much more fun than alone! That's why the Youth Fund is a partner of the FC Straat Play-Offs: the largest street football tournament in the Netherlands, organized by FC Straat, the Johan Cruyff Foundation, and the Krajicek Foundation.

FC Straat is the largest online and offline football club in the Netherlands, founded by influencer and street footballer Soufiane Touzani. With free, challenging tips and tricks, they now inspire nearly 60,000 young people to get outdoors.

From watchtime to playtime

Local qualifying rounds are being held throughout the country: tournaments at Cruyff Courts and Krajicek Playgrounds. Everyone is welcome to participate. The goal? From watchtime to playtime: because with an average screen time of 3 to 6 hours per day among young people, the urgency is greater than ever. That's why we're all working together to get as many young people as possible moving.

If a team wins a preliminary round, they advance to regional playoffs and compete against other teams in exciting matches. The winners then advance to the coveted FC Straat League.

Joining forces

After collaborating at 'FC Street in miniature on your squareWe're happy to continue this. If young people want to join a club, it's perfectly possible. Even if there's not enough money at home.

Soufiane: 'I'm very proud of the partnership with the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture, because every child deserves to have fun and have a hobby. I see so many children and parents still struggling to join. With this partnership, I hope to inspire them that it's truly okay to ask for and receive help. Everyone can play sports, everyone can do something fun, and together we'll make that happen!'
