Check for €2,000 for the Brabant Youth Sports Fund
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, the Moerdijk Lions Club organized its annual Lions Swimming Festival. Thanks to the participants' sponsored laps, €2,000 was raised for "Swimming for Swimming"!
Through this charity, children from the municipality of Moerdijk whose parents are unable to pay for swimming lessons are given the opportunity to obtain their swimming diploma.
Monique Valk (photo right), coordinator for Central and West Brabant for the Brabant Youth Sports Fund, accepted the check from Lions president Ruud Tiemann (photo center). This took place on July 28, 2022, at the Moerdijk City Hall, in the presence of Alderman Bennie Blom (photo left).
The proceeds will guarantee four children from the municipality their A swimming diploma! In 2023, the Moerdijk Lions Club will once again host the Swimming Festival at the Niervaert swimming pool in Klundert. We're hoping for even more enthusiastic participants and an even bigger raise!
