Borrow an instrument from the instrument depot

To make music, you naturally need an instrument. Children who take music lessons through the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture can request an instrument from the Stichting Leerorkest Instrument Depot for €29.25.

Almost all instruments are available for loan: violin, guitar, drums, flute, harp, cello, bassoon, trumpet—too many to list. We can't yet offer a real piano, but we can offer a keyboard. Instruments are delivered ready to play (subject to availability) to the child's home address or music school. Already taking music lessons and need a different or better instrument? That's possible too!

The application (for intermediaries):

1. In the application, select "Stichting Instrumentendepot" under "Attributes." The loan amount is €29.25.
2. In the free notes field you mention:
   ● The name of the child
   ● Which instrument it is and the size of the instrument (the size is only necessary for string instruments).
   The delivery address (address, telephone number, and email address). The instrument can also be delivered to the music school (upon request).
3. After approval, you'll receive a voucher confirming your request. This confirms that the request has been processed.
4. The Instrument Depot will deliver the instrument to the specified address, and the parent(s)/guardian(s) will sign a loan agreement. This agreement assumes their responsibility for the instrument. The signed loan agreement must then be emailed or sent to the Instrument Depot.
5. The instrument is loaned for one year. If the child continues taking music lessons, the agreement can be extended. You can then request another €29.25 under "Equipment" when submitting the renewal request. Please also include the child's name, address, and the fact that the instrument is already on loan.

Returns

If your child leaves lessons, the parent(s)/guardian(s) are responsible for returning the instrument. It's important to keep the packaging. Once the loan period has expired, the parent(s)/guardian(s) will receive a notification from the Instrument Depot.
