Becoming an intermediary: How does it work?

An intermediary is an intermediary professionally involved in the child's upbringing, guidance, or education. This could include a teacher (primary and secondary school), youth care worker, neighborhood sports coach, general practitioner, physiotherapist, administrator or a social worker. MBut how do you become an intermediary and what conditions do you have to meet?  

Why become an intermediary?

As an intermediary, you are the link that ensures all children have the same opportunities by submitting an application to us quickly and easily online. Many children and young people in the Netherlands come from families where finances are a stumbling block. Unfortunately, this number is growing due to the current coronavirus crisis. Many families are still unaware of the existence of this program. from the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. You as an intermediary you have an important role to play in this to bring the fund to the attention of the target group.that many more children can participate in sports & cultureParticipate = More opportunities! 

What are the conditions to become an intermediary?

There are a number of conditions that you must meet as an intermediary: 

  • You are professionally involved with the child and monitor the child throughout the application period (e.g. for one year).
  • You have a business email address.
  • You know the child/family personally and are aware of the (financial) home situation.
  • You are aware of the local terms and conditions of theYouth Sports Fund and/or Youth Culture Fundand informs the parents about this.
  • You inform the parent(s)/guardian(s) about the way in which the Youth Fund Sport & Culture handles their personal data as stated in theprivacy statement children and parents/caregiversas described. 

How do I register as an intermediary?

Do you meet thebeforeardenWould you like to become an intermediary for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture? Then register atwww.allekinderendoenmee.nl. NB:If you are an intermediary, you can submit both sports and cultural applications.So you only have to register once, how convenient! 

Your application will be reviewed by a local Youth Fund for Sports and/or Culture. You will receive an email confirming your approval or rejection. This may take several business days. NB: Parents/guardians cannot become intermediaries, only professionals 

Registered as an intermediary, what now?

  1. You'll receive an email notifying you whether your application has been approved or rejected. This process takes a few business days, except during holiday periods, when it may take a little longer.
  2. Once you've been recognized as an intermediary, you'll receive a link to a page where you can create a password. You must activate this link within two weeks.
  3. You can then submit an application for the child online, possibly together with the parent(s)/guardian(s) and a parent card completed by them.
  4. You will receive an email within 3 weeks confirming whether your application has been approved or rejected, and you can then inform your parents.
  5. If the application is approved, the parents can register the child at the sports club or cultural institution using the information sent to you.
  6. Once your child has become a member, we will pay the membership fee/tuition. We will contact the sports club/instructor directly regarding this matter. Parents will not receive any money.
