500 Sports and Culture Bags Awarded
On Thursday, April 23, board member Conchita Lopez Vega of the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Almere presented the first Sports and Culture Bag to a family in Almere Haven. At the initiative of the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Almere and the Neighborhood Sports Coaches of De Schoor, 500 bags were assembled and distributed over the past few days. The municipality of Almere and Sportief Almere made this initiative possible.
Special collaboration
Besides the municipality, many local partners also contributed: Miba, 999 Games, Avenda promotional items, Sport 2000 Sportpaleis, Logomotion, and the Children's Music Shop. These eye-catching bags contain sports and play materials, craft supplies, and a musical instrument for children who could really use them now. Families who could use a little extra help were approached through various intermediaries to apply for these. Within three days, 500 applications were received, meaning all the bags found a good home.
