Conversation card: from signaling to requests
As much as you want to help your children, sometimes it's not easy to identify financial worries in a family, or to initiate a conversation about this topic with the parent(s)/guardian(s). This conversation card provides tools for identifying financial worries in families and helps you initiate a conversation about them with parents. The conversation card consists of four parts:
- Identifying and recognizing financial worries;
- Initiating the (first) conversation about getting help;
- Discussing the financial situation;
- Checklist: Does a child have the right to help?

Information for parents
It's important that as many parents as possible know what the Youth Fund can do for their child. You can help us achieve this. For example, by sharing a message via:
- the parent app,
- newsletter,
- social media channels (e.g. school),
- an article in local media,
- communication tools of local organizations that have contact with parents,
- other parties in your network such as sports and cultural clubs.
Download here Ready-made messages. Together with us, you'll ensure every child has the opportunity to pursue their passion!
Youth Fund check
Informing parents about the fund can also be done easily with the Youth Fund checkThis is an easy way to reach parents. It saves you time, as parents partially complete the application themselves and explain their income.
This is how the Youth Fund check works:
- You share the Youth Fund check with as many parents as possible:
Important: ask them to fill in your name in the application form after the check;Click here to copy
Want your child to take soccer, street dance, judo, or music lessons? The Youth Fund will pay if you can't make it. Complete the Youth Fund check anonymously and find out within 2 minutes whether we can help your child enjoy a year of fun at the club!
- Parents check anonymously whether their child may be eligible and complete part of the application themselves;
- From a single central point, every application is linked to the right Meerkracht (More Power). This could be a child you already know, because your name was entered on the application form, or because you are the best match based on your (professional) background.
- You'll receive an email notification if you're linked to an application, with a link to that application in the system. You'll need to check the parent(s)' financial situation, explain the application, and submit it.
- We will assess this application and arrange payment as usual.
Parent card
As a Senior Support Worker, you can use the Parent Card to gather the correct information before submitting an application (together with the parent/guardian). Send this card to parents in advance or give them a physical copy. Using this card will provide a wealth of information when you begin processing the application.
Please note: enter your own name in the 'Youth Fund Sports & Culture contact person' field.
Don't forget to throw away/delete the completed forms after use. Please handle the personal data of children and their parents/guardians with care.
