Good to know

  • Register your child yourself at a club. The Youth Fund does not do this. Please be aware of any waiting lists. Your child must be known to the provider and be able to start when you submit the application to the Youth Fund.
  • We have special terms and conditions for applying for a fitness allowance. Scroll down to 'downloads and links'.

You can apply for and cultural lessons and sports lessons and diploma swimming.

NB: We collaborate with the City of Amsterdam for sports allowances. You can have your City Pass scanned directly at some clubs. The City of Amsterdam will then pay the club directly. If you already receive a regular sports allowance through the City of Amsterdam's City Pass scheme, you cannot also apply for sports with the Youth Fund. You can still apply to the Youth Fund for diploma swimming and/or a cultural activity.

How do you apply?

Want to register your child for sports? Great! Do you have a Stadspas (City Pass)? Then click the first button below. Don't have a Stadspas? Or do you need help with your application? Then click the second button. There you'll find out how your child can still participate.

Application submitted?

We do our best to process your application within a week. You'll receive a notification as a parent, even if you applied with support from Meerkracht, the SINA foundation, or via kieseenclub.nl. The club will also receive a notification of your application. The Youth Fund handles payment for the sports lessons. Therefore, you won't receive any money as a parent. If your application is approved, your child can start taking lessons!
