Assistance with application

Assistance is available to help you arrange reimbursement from the Amsterdam Youth Fund for Sport & Culture, even if you're not immediately eligible for a City Pass. This page explains the various routes.

Three routes to help

This is how you can find help with your application:

  1. Through a More Power. Your school teacher, neighborhood team member, or even your local sports coach can all offer support. They're already "Powered Up," as they say. Or they can become so through our website. Talk to them and submit a request together.
  2. Via Choose a Club. If you don't have access to a Meerkracht or would like to apply online, follow the link. Choose a ClubFill out the form there. We'll then connect you with a Meerkracht (More Power) representative who will contact you about your application. The Meerkracht representative will then submit the application to the Youth Fund on your behalf.
  3. Via SINA. The Samen Is Niet Alleen (SINA) Foundation is also there for you. Fill out the form on the SINA websiteSINA checks your eligibility and then handles the application for sports, cultural activities, and/or diploma swimming. SINA can also visit you at home and provide support with other family matters.

Go to 'Choose a Club'

When can you apply without a City Pass?

Even without a City Pass, you may still be eligible for reimbursement from the Youth Fund. Choose one of the three options above. This will put you in touch with a support worker. They will assess your personal situation and submit an application for you. With this application, we need an explanation of why the Youth Fund needs to pay for your child's activity. This explanation might include, for example:

  • the disposable income is less than 150% of the minimum wage or;
  • there are debts; your family is in debt restructuring, or;
  • you are a newcomer or undocumented with a low income, or;
  • there are other reasons why you cannot pay the costs for sports, culture and/or diploma swimming.

Is your child entitled to a City Pass?

Does your child not yet have a Stadspas? Perhaps you can apply for one. The income limit for a Stadspas for children has been temporarily raised to 150% of the social minimum. You can apply for a Stadspas through the municipality's website. Self-employed professionals can also apply for a Stadspas. With a Stadspas, you can arrange the reimbursement directly with the Youth Fund. You can also use the pass to take advantage of other promotions and discounts offered by the municipality of Amsterdam.
