Diploma swimming

Diploma A, B & C

  • We reimburse diplomas A, B and C. Please submit a separate application for each diploma.
  • For every diploma payment, the child receives swimming lessons until the diploma is obtained. This is called a diploma guarantee. But be sure to pay close attention to the conditions of attendance!
  • After obtaining a diploma, you can apply again for a new diploma.

Compensation

  • Fixed amounts per diploma apply for the reimbursement of diploma swimming: € 750 for a A-diploma, €250 for a B or C diploma.
  • We do not reimburse registration and swimming exam costs (diploma costs).
  • We do not provide reimbursement for swimwear.

Good to know

  • First, register your child with a swimming club yourself. The Youth Fund doesn't do this.
  • For diploma swimming, your child may be placed on a waiting list at the swimming club. Therefore, it may take longer for the application to be approved. The Youth Fund will only approve the application for reimbursement of the diploma if your child is ready to start swimming lessons.
  • Once you have started swimming lessons, it is not possible to change swimming providers within a diploma.
  • For children who want to participate in adapted swimming, please contact us with our fund.

You can apply for and cultural lessons and sports lessons and diploma swimming.

There are also attendance requirements for diploma swimming. These are:

  • Parents must always notify us if their child is unable to attend swimming lessons.
  • If a child is absent too often, we will no longer reimburse them, and parents will pay for the remaining swimming lessons themselves until they receive their diploma.
  • For lessons for an A-diploma, the child may be absent a maximum of 7 times (with cancellation).
  • For lessons for the B diploma and the C diploma, the child may be absent a maximum of 3 times (with cancellation).

Application submitted?

For diploma swimming lessons, we only approve the application if the swimming provider confirms your child can start. This can take longer due to waiting lists. As a parent, you will always receive a notification once the application is approved, even if you applied with support from Meerkracht, the SINA foundation, or via kieseenclub.nl. The Youth Fund handles the payment for the swimming lessons. Therefore, you as a parent will not receive any money. If the application is approved, your child can start taking lessons!
